Morrow County, Ohio Real Estate

Last Sunday evening Kathy and I went to check out the new "Discount Drug Mart" in Mount Gilead.  The store opened this past week in what used to be the Pamida store on the west end of town.

I've heard some say, "Just what we need ... another drug store" since we're a town of only about 3000 and we have our family pharmacy "Whiston Pharmacy" downtown and then of course Kroger has a pharmacy and recently Rite-Aid relocated to the west end of town with their drive-thru pharmacy.

At first I concurred with those folks thinking that the only good thing about another drug store was the fact that it employ some local folks. 

But when I went into the new Mount Gilead "Drug Mart" store I actually got excited!  I don't know how many times over the years I've got into a "honey-do" project around the house only to find out (at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon) that I need this widget or that thingamabob.

Well I'm telling you, this store seems to have it all ... Here's just some of the things I noticed that they had in their inventory as I walked through the store; auto parts, lawn mower repair parts, toilet repair parts, electrical repair parts, groceries, frozen foods, carpet/rugs, furnace filters, house door parts (closers, hinges, handles, etc.).  Of course they have all the things you would expect any respectable drug store to have like; personal care items, toiletries, and so on.

I for one, am excited to have a new business in the county that can employ a few more people and provide needed products and services to Morrow County residents.  I encourage you to stop on in and check out our new "Discount Drug Mart" in Mount Gilead.

I know it is kind of confusing.  Figuring out just who qualifies for the "gift" and who doesn't anyway?  In Morrow County, Ohio potential home buyers are paying attention and are starting to realize that this is the best time to by a home in Morrow County. Although credit is a little more difficult to obtain for some, many folks have had other reasons for not owning their own home before now. But right now buyers can not only take advantage of the $8000 "gift" from Uncle Sam, but also by getting out of the "rental rut" they can use tax deductions of mortgage interest and property taxes. At the end of the year, when the tax return is done, those will be happy buyers.
